ABOUT ABOUT

Over the past two years, Beta has been working closely with Cook Children’s Hospital, specifically with the Creative Artist in Residence Programme (CARPE). The mission of the program is to identify and develop connections between the creative arts and healing arts that will improve the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health of our patients and families. In order to support the patients and families involved in CARPE, Beta has created an annual event titled Giving HeART.

Giving HeART is a new annual event hosted by TCU Beta Theta Pi to give back the CARPE program. The event is a silent auction of paintings created by the patients and family members of the CARPE program. These paintings are typically created during Art Creation Days that Beta helps put on at Cook Children’s. All proceeds go directly back to the CARPE program to help fund patient therapy through music, art, dance, writing and acting.

The 1st Annual Giving HeART event was held in November 2014. The event raised approximately $4000 through the auction, ticket sales, and donations.

Ticket to the event includes hor d'oeuvres catered by Z's Cafe. There will also be a cash bar.
