ABOUT ABOUT

Over the past four years, TCU Beta Theta Pi has been working closely with Cook Children’s Medical Center, specifically with the Creative Artist in Residence Programme (CARPE). The mission of the program is to identify and develop connections between the creative arts and healing arts that will improve the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health of our patients and families. In order to support the patients and families involved in CARPE, Beta has created an annual event titled Giving HeART.

Giving HeART is an annual philanthropy event hosted by TCU Beta Theta Pi to give back the CARPE program. The event includes a silent auction of paintings created by the patients and family members of the CARPE program. These paintings are typically created during Art Creation Days that Beta helps put on at Cook Children’s. All proceeds go directly back to the CARPE program to help fund patient therapy through music, art, dance, writing and acting.

In the past three years, Beta has been able to raise almost $38,000 through the auction, ticket sales, and donations. We are excited to host the event this year, with a goal to raise over $20,000!

Ticket to the event includes appetizers and live entertainment. There will also be a cash bar.
